INS Seal of Approval recognizes ICU Medical’s Infusion Assessment Program as a trusted resource for helping hospitals improve infusion therapy safety and align with evidence-based best practices.

San Clemente, CA – April 1, 2025 – ICU Medical, INC (NASDAQ:ICUI), a worldwide leader in the development, manufacture and sale of innovative medical devices, has announced that its Infusion Assessment Program has been awarded the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) Seal of Approval, signifying adherence to the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice. This recognition highlights the program’s role in supporting healthcare facilities with evidence-based recommendations aimed at improving infusion therapy safety, standardization, and efficiency.
The INS Seal of Approval is awarded to programs and resources that meet established criteria for clinical quality, educational integrity, and relevance to infusion therapy best practices. The Infusion Assessment Program underwent an evaluation process to ensure that it meets these standards and provides valuable insights for health care facilities seeking to improve infusion therapy protocols.
“INS is pleased to award the INS Seal of Approval to ICU Medical’s Infusion Assessment Program,” said Chris Hunt, CEO of INS. “This approval reflects the credibility of education, competency-based training, and content that adheres to INS’ Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice for infusion-related information.”
“With infusion therapy playing such a critical role in patient care, it’s essential that hospitals have access to expert guidance and proven best practices,” said Jim Paloyan, corporate vice president and general manager of ICU Medical Infusion Consumables. “We are honored to receive the INS Seal of Approval, reinforcing our commitment to helping health care providers improve safety, efficiency, and standardization across infusion therapy practices.”
The Infusion Assessment Program is a no-cost evaluation designed to assist health care providers in reviewing, assessing, and optimizing infusion therapy practices. The program consists of:
● On-site, unit-by-unit assessments to evaluate current infusion therapy protocols and identify areas for improvement.
● Evidence-based recommendations aligned with INS Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice to support patient safety and compliance.
● A structured road map to assist facilities in enhancing infection prevention, supply chain efficiency, and clinical standardization.
“Every hospital faces unique challenges,” Paloyan said. “This program is built on collaboration—working together to determine the best approach for each facility while aligning with evidence-based best practices. Great products are only part of the equation; true impact comes from how they are integrated into clinical practice."
Hospitals and health care facilities continue to face challenges related to infection prevention, compliance with infusion standards, and supply chain management. The Infusion Assessment Program provides a structured approach for facilities to review existing practices and identify opportunities for improvement based on clinical evidence and best practices.
The assessment is conducted by a team of specialized clinicians with expertise in infusion therapy and is designed to support ongoing efforts to improve safety and efficiency in health care settings.
