Plum 360 recognized by KLAS Research as 2022 Best in KLAS Smart Pump EMR-Integrated, continuing a five-year track record of award-winning clinical excellence.

San Clemente, Calif. February 8, 2022ICU Medical, Inc., a leader in the development, manufacture and sale of innovative medical products used in infusion therapy, vascular access, and vital care applications, today announced its Plum 360 smart infusion system has once again been recognized as the top-performing Smart Pump EMR-Integrated by KLAS Research, a leading global health care research firm.

Best in Klas 2022

This Best in KLAS designation is based on feedback from thousands of healthcare providers throughout the United States and Canada and results from in depth side-by-side comparisons of IV smart pump performance in multiple categories, including culture, loyalty, operations, product, relationship, and value.

“Each year, thousands of healthcare professionals across the globe take the time to share their voice with KLAS. They know that sharing their perspective helps vendors to improve and helps their peers make better decisions. These conversations are a constant reminder to me of how necessary accurate, honest, and impartial reporting is in the healthcare industry,” said Adam Gale, president of KLAS research. “The Best in KLAS award serves as a signal to provider and payer organizations that they should expect excellence from the winning vendors.”

The Plum 360 has won a Best in KLAS award every year that it has been eligible and is the only smart infusion system to win the Smart Pump EMR-Integrated category. This new category award underscores how closely aligned the Plum 360 is with the latest industry guidelines for interoperable infusion systems, including the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP). Most importantly, this prestigious award is a direct reflection of ICU Medical customers’ success in reducing medication errors and improving the quality of care.

“We’re honored that KLAS has awarded the Plum 360 the Best in KLAS designation for the fifth year in a row,” said Dan Woolson, corporate vice president and general manager of ICU Medical Infusion Systems. “Half a decade of award-winning clinical excellence demonstrates the consistency of our customer focus, but more importantly it points to the fact that clinicians using Plum 360 have the highest level of service and support to take IV medication delivery practices to the next level.”

“ICU Medical is unique in its focus on infusion therapy,” added Matt Hutchings, vice president of global marketing and innovation for Infusion Systems at ICU Medical. “With the recent acquisition of Smiths Medical, we are excited to add syringe and ambulatory infusion platforms to provide a full portfolio with promise to help reduce variability, simplify training, harmonize IT systems, and most importantly, enhance the safety of IV medication delivery in more care areas than ever before.”
